Commissions have taken a variety of forms utilising my technical skill and aesthetic perspective. I favour traditional handtools over modern power tools and choose natural, sustainable and locally produced materials wherever possible.
I am commissioned for work by both individuals and organisations - including schools, local councils and charities. I have recently been appointed a National Trust supplier. My works are very varied - ranging from oak garden archways, handcrafted timber frames for buildings including a roundhouse, greenwood garden furniture and several bespoke storytelling chairs. Amongst the most unusual were commissions for the Education Department of a Cornish heritage centre, where I designed and made a working model ropemaker and unique three-dimensional relief of an area of coastal landscape as an educational resource.
